Hormonal imbalances are common in many women. They can cause problems such as PMS, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), irregular cycles as well as various symptoms postnatally and during perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal balance plays a huge part in our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It affects how we feel in our body, how we relate to ourselves and others and how we react to experiences in our lives. WHAT IS HORMONE YOGA? Hormone Yoga was designed by a Brazilian yogini Dinah Rodrigues. It involves a series of dynamic yoga postures and breathing techniques that naturally alleviate symptoms of hormonal imbalance by harmonising the nervous system and stimulating the ovaries, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands. WHO IS IT FOR? Hormone Yoga for women with hormonal imbalances related to PMS, irregular menstrual cycle, PCOS, fertility, perimenopause, menopause, hypothyroidism or any women over 35 years old as a way to feel more rejuvenated. WHAT TO EXPECT? This is a 9-week journey during which we will meet for 90 minutes online to practice Hormone Yoga. You will learn and experience the Hormone Yoga practice which includes asanas based in Hatha and Kundalini Yoga traditions, pranayamas (breathing practices), Tibetan technique of energy circulation, meditation as well as anti-stress techniques to soothe your nervous system. During this journey, you will have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded women, have space to connect deeply with yourself, your body, your breath. Through your breath, you will learn about your nervous system, how intentional breathing affects your whole system, your inner balance and how it impacts your hormonal balance. WHAT WILL YOU NEED? - a quiet space for your practice - a yoga mat - a blanket you can fold - a couple of cushions to use as a prop or a bolster - it's best to practice on an empty stomach. You might want to have something light 2-3 hours before. Cancellation Policy
All yoga classes online purchased as part of the pack must be used within the expiry date. If you have to cancel a class, please make sure to cancel it at least 12 hours in advance and a credit will be provided to you. No refund or credit provided if cancelled with less than 12 hours in advance. For course bookings that consist of multiple classes paid in advance, no refunds or transfers apply. A refund will only be provided if the course is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. For courses related to Menstrual Cycle Awareness Course - if you cancel 3 weeks in advance, a refund will be provided to you (minus the processing fee - 1.9% of the transaction fee plus 0.30 cent). If you cancel with less than 3 weeks notice, no refund will be given.
