A Hatha Yoga class consists of meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), surya namaskara (sun salutations), asana practice (yoga poses) and relaxation (savasana).
Hatha Yoga helps to relieve physical tension and stiffness and also build physical strength and flexibility. On a more emotional and mental level, it soothes our nervous system helping to manage stress and contributing to building a state of inner peace and harmony.
It also helps us develop more self-awareness and more focus contributing to how we view ourselves and the world around us.
On an energetic level, yoga practice creates space to tune into our energy, which in turn can help us recognise energy shifts within our being allowing space for more connection with oneself, others and our experiences.
If yoga is practised in its entirety including all of its limbs (8 limbs of yoga - check out this post on my instagram about 8 limbs of yoga), it has the power to become a spiritual practice.
What does that mean?
You may be able to move beyond the physical and emotional level of this practice into a realm of absolute bliss, connection to all that exists - in yoga this state is called ananda. It is only through continuously observing oneself and enquiring about the nature of the self, that one can experience this state of bliss.
It does not matter what is your motivation to practise yoga. It is perfectly fine to start with the intention to feel good in the body, connect more with your breath or to reduce stress. Whatever your reason, yoga works the same way and can have a healing and transformative impact on your life.

HOW TO JOIN A CLASS?
Currently there is Online Hatha Yoga on Tuesdays (6.30pm GMT - 60 mins) and Saturdays (9am GMT - 90 mins) for all levels.
I am a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher and run pregnancy classes for any pregnant women 12 weeks or over. The pregnancy yoga class is a space to practice tuning into your breath, connecting to your constantly changing body and to your baby in preparation for their arrival into this world.
The classes are designed to celebrate the experience of being pregnant and to give you the opportunity to tune into the different aches you may be experiencing while pregnant and to learn how to help ease any physical or emotional discomfort during this time. We explore movements and breathing techniques and other tools that are especially helpful during pregnancy and in preparation for birth.
HORMONE YOGA THERAPY
Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT) was designed by a Brazilian yogini Dinah Rodrigues for the purpose of helping lots of people, especially women in balancing their hormones. Hormone Yoga Therapy helps to improve hormonal imbalances related to PMS, polycystic ovaries, fertility, pregnancy loss, perimenopause, menopause and hypothyroidism.
Hormone Yoga Therapy works on stimulation of the various glands through movement and breathwork on a physical level. On the energetic and mental level, it works with prana (vital energy) and a Buddhist technique called Circulation of Energy.
PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS
Private sessions are a great way to practise in a way that is designed specifically to your needs. In a private class, we look at your specific needs and work with it together. In a private class, we may focus more on breathwork, asana practise or relaxation depending on your needs.
