Welcome to 5 days of somatic yoga to stimulate the vagus nerve, befriend your body, come home to yourself guided by Anna. The practices in this course are rooted in yoga, somatics and the Polyvagal Theory by Dr. Stephen Porges. In each session, I weave the traditional teachings of yoga with somatic awareness and the understanding of the vagus nerve, which plays a central role in our emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. The practices consist of certain yoga postures, conscious breathing techniques, mindfulness & vagal toning exercises working with the body towards reclaiming safety, resilience, inner power, connection (to self, others and the world) and opening to receive, grow and transform. This approach is rooted in non-violence and compassion inviting gentleness, curiosity, choice as we move towards possibility, authenticity and freedom. This short 5-session course is suitable for anyone and especially if you: * Experience symptoms of anxiety, trauma, PTSD, dissociation or dysregulation. * Experience chronic stress/ pain/ fatigue or overwhelm * Are looking to develop more compassion and kindness towards yourself * Want to learn more about your body’s wisdom and establish connection with deeper parts of yourself Throughout the process, I invite you to cultivate kindness, gentleness and compassion towards yourself. You are welcome to go at your own pace, pause at any moment and choose when you want to return to the practice. Please note that these practices might trigger an uncomfortable feeling, sensation or emotion. This is a natural response of the body when working with trauma which is stored in the body. Please ensure you take care of yourself during the process by making space to rest, journal, eat well and if necessary reach out for support ( a trusted friend or therapist).
