HATHA YOGA
COURSES

WHAT IS HATHA YOGA?
A Hatha Yoga class consists of meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), surya namaskara (sun salutations), asana practice (yoga poses) and relaxation (savasana).

Hatha Yoga is the physical practice aspect of yoga. "Ha" means "sun" and "Tha" means "moon". In Hatha yoga we strive for creating balance between the solar and lunar energies within our being, solar energy being the more activating one and the lunar energy being the more soothing and relaxing one.

A Hatha Yoga class is a balance between effort and ease leading to lots of physical, energetic, mental and spiritual benefits.

Traditionally, Hatha Yoga should be practised along with other limbs of yoga (8 limbs of yoga), which include some ethical guidelines that we should incorporate into our daily lives.

MY APPROACH
My classes are a balance between effort and ease. I always makes sure to challenge the physical body while creating lots of space for self-inquiry, relaxation, introspection. Each class is sprinkled with a little bit of yoga philosophy so that every person has the opportunity to connect with the essence of yoga (8 limbs of yoga).

I really wants everyone to grow and develop in their journey with yoga. In order to do that, I always aim to create an inclusive environment where each and every person can feel like they belong.
In this course, we will practice in a small size group for a deeper learning experience.
